I have owned this product for one day and my first impressions are that it is rubbish.
I have already had numerous crashes and on rebooting from the mains it works for a while and then crashes again.Remote control buttons won't operate the machine.This has definitely been a bad buy and will be being returned.
Avoid like the plague

I also purchased this item as an early christmas present in December and have had a similar experience as the previous review.DVD record quality fine .... when it feels like working.

This machine has actually got excellent recording quality even on the lowest setting. Freeview picture (as long as your signal is strong enough obviously) is excellent. Sadly, the machine responds to remote control commands at whim. Machine 'crashes' and cannot continue. Machine is deeply unreliable and will often not stop/record/play at all.
