I bought this several months ago and I've been using it regularly ever since without any of the problems other reviewers have had ( apart from the stickers !!!). I can only recommend it if you can get it at the "right price"

Decided to get this 2.1 system instead of a 5.1 system as I didn't really want cables running along my floor/ceiling and wireless 5.1 systems cost a bomb!
When the box arrived, my first thoughts were "oh my its HUGE" (and heavy!) However, on unpacking the box, all was crystal clear. Two free standing speakers, a rather large subwoofer and the main control unit.
When put in to place, this thing looks the business and delivers some very good sound indeed, with bass so deep it'll shake the foundations of your house if you want it to!
Have it connected via HDMI to my Sony Bravia 32s3000 TV with the audio connected via, funnily enough, the audio connectors! No problem with lag between the sound coming out of units speakers and my TV speakers - both play the sound at exactly the same time. The picture is clear and the sound is superb!
The sound from my PS3, which is connected to my TV via HDMI, is awesome really helping to immerse you in the gameplay!
The only problem I seem to have is that the Disc 1 sliding door once opened will shut automatically by itself in around 5 seconds - just enough time for me to change the disc, although having said that, I've been caught out a few times now!
This unit will play almost anything you throw at it, including DVD MP3 discs if you have them.
5 out of 5 stars as you really cannot fault it for the money! For less than £100, you really can't go wrong.

£99 - what a bargain - looks great (wall mountable unit and speakers) - no problems with humming etc and the sound is great and very loud. Has plenty of audio inputs, but none of them are surround sound, as far as I can tell, which is a ridiculous oversight. Sky doesn't sound bad through it, but it's not surround sound. Philips do a very similar model that has scarts and a digi input, but it costs £350, so if you accept this as a great looking, great sounding, upscaling DVD system then it's excellent value.

i cant seem to get any sound through my speakers when watching the tv, plus i only can get 1 speaker to play when in dvd/cd mode. can anyone help

I bought this item whilst it was on sale for £99, despite quite poor feedback from other reviewers and I must say I wish I would've paid attention and not bothered! The item arrived on time, so no fault to amazon on this one, but it simply didn't work. In frustration I hit the product's subwoofer and it leaped into life for two minutes before switching off permanently. There seems to be a short circuit between the sub and the dvd unit as it is wired so that the dvd unit draws power from the sub. The sub displayed signs of life (the light was on), but the dvd unit showed nothing similar. I will be returning the product, which is a great hassle and I expect to be compensated by amazon for my trouble. This product is aesthetically pleasing, but suffers on reliability, so for that I must rate it with 1 star. It would have 0 if I had the option. ALSO, there is a large sticker that comes on the face of the dvd unit that is glued on permanently, which was a further annoyance.
